- First you decide if you want to make your invitation formal or informal. Informal invites are usually hand made or you can also make it by yourself. Whereas if you want to go for formal invitations, then you will get traditional engraved and crafted invitations available in local stationery shops.
- Next thing that you should do is to plan out your budget. Decide how much you are ready to spend on invites. This will also narrow down your search and make it easier.
- Try to find out invitations that have a similarity to your wedding cards. Ask the stationery shop to show you a set of cards that has both wedding and engagement invitations.
- If you are having themed engagement parties, then try to select cards with colorful symbols like seashells, champagne etc. Today invitations are available for any kind of themed parties. You can also use your own creativity in making a good invitation.
