Tips for a Perfect Wedding Makeup

The day has finally arrived for you to get married, you have chosen your man, dress and hairstyle. But to complete your look, a perfect makeup is very important. It’s your day and you ought to look the best. Here are a few tips that can help you get that perfect look.

Before the Wedding-

Before your wedding day, there are certain things that you need to take care of. To have a fresh and glowing skin, you need to take care of your skin and nails atleast 5 weeks before the wedding. Go for regular manicures and facials. Don’t expose a lot in the sun before the wedding.

Body and Mind-

It is very normal to get stressed before your wedding but try and keep your mind and body calm. You need to eat healthy food, drink plenty of water and sleep well. If you are very stressed out, then go for a massage as this would relax your body and mind.

Makeup Trials-

Before the final day, go for atleast three makeup trials which should be a month or two before the wedding. Go through different magazines so that you can try different makeup styles. Let your makeup artist know if you are allergic to any brand of makeup or you have any kind of skin allergies.

What look to choose-

The kind of makeup you choose would certainly depend on your dress but other than this there are other factors to consider like:
Is the wedding during the day or is it in the night?
Which month of the year you are getting married for example, if the wedding is in summer, then you need to choose soft and pastel colors. If the wedding is in winter then you would have to choose darker tones. Remember the type of skin tone you have, you need to choose the makeup and colors accordingly.

Your face-

You will have to choose a foundation according to your skin tone. Foundation with yellow undertones look good in flash photos. Avoid using glitter highlighters as this would not look good in photos.
Use a translucent powder to prevent unwanted shine.
You can tell your makeup artist to use a bronze powder to give a natural glow to your skin. Dab it on areas like cheeks, bridge of the nose and forehead.

Eyes-

Take care of your eyes and avoid using heavy makeup. Keep the look natural.
If you are not confident about how the latest make up trends may look, then don’t try it.
Use an eyebrow pencil that’s darker than your hair color and avoid dark color eye shadow.
