Makeup is very important for the wedding day, the most important day in the life of a young girl. Every young girl desires to look her best on this blessed day. Here are some tips to make you look as gorgeous as a queen.

- If it is a Nighttime wedding then go in for a more formal and sophisticated look.
- The color of your dress should be Ivory or off-white, as it tends to make your skin look softer and allows scope for more makeup.
- The neckline of your dress, its length and the sleeves decide how the makeup should be. The simpler the dress, more simple the hair and makeup should be.
- Red lipstick is a traditional wedding color, so don’t be afraid to wear it. Remember there are different shades of red. Use what suits you best.
- Don’t get a facial done just a week before the wedding. This will make the impurities show on the face.
- Try your best to avoid the wedding day during your periods.
- If a pimple appears on the wedding day then don’t pick on it. Use aloevera to heal these bumps.
- Use waterproof make up. And use a foundation that matches your skin tone perfectly.
- Don’t use too much makeup if you love to be yourself.
- Use a concealer similar in shade to the foundation and blend them both well.
- Hide your under eye dark circles by using a concealer. Blend it well using downward strokes.
- If you are a person with combination skin, use a water based foundation with a dry sponge.
- Use a powder foundation on places like the neck, ears and chest so that your face wont look painted.
- To give your eye a perfect shape, take a small brush and blend a medium tone color just below the brow arch downwards in a semi-circle motion.
- Use a light peach or golden eye shadow as an ideal eyelid base.
- Try and focus on the eyes or lips and underplay the others with neutral pink or brown shades
- Choose a lipliner that blends well with your lipstick shade. This will make the shape of your lips look more natural.
- Thin lips can be made to look more sensuous by using liquid lip colors, as they add volume to your lips.
